Description

Description:
The file is a compilation of Audio recorded by NASA space probes and Radio Telescopes. The voices include dual tracks of Sol, as well as Earth, Jupiter, Neptune, Uranus, Uranus's Moon Miranda, and the volcanic Jovian Moon Io. The image is a photograph using a highly light sensitive camera, showing a dirt road on Earth seeming to meet the expanse of the Milky Way itself. The road to the heavens. It is an image I found three years ago and the only information I have on it is the file name: "MilkyWayRoad_landolfi". If anyone has a link to the original, please feel free to comment and I will include it here.

What is the story behind this MP3 file? It is an attempt to let others hear a bit of something I experienced when I was 9 years old:

Over the course of my life I have had many experiences that are hard to describe and even harder to explain the meaning of. All my life I've had certain abilities to see, hear, feel certain things around me; spirits, energy, guides, all sorts of things. I know I inherited a legacy through my mother from my Cheyenne heritage, and possibly augmented though the Irish/Scottish blood. Where my abilities come from is mostly speculation, but I know I have them for a reason.

I grew up in a rather convoluted family situation. Father was career Air Force and very much an abusive, racist, homophobic, control freak. Mother is a manipulative Southern Baptist who, at first, embraced and practiced her Cheyenne heritage beliefs along side her Christian views. Her family abandoned her when her parents died, and his family hated her (due in no small part to my very controlling grandmother). I won't go into detail here, but in general the first 8 or so years of my life were very rough and I have very little (if any) memory of it. My parents' divorce finalized around November of 1982, a couple months after I turned 8, but still the problems did not stop.

A couple months before I turned 9 (July 1983), my mother and I moved from my home where I was born in Tacoma Washington to Boise Idaho. During the 7 years we lived there, things started to open up more for me. My abilities seemed more unfettered and I felt free to truly explore them. I would often wander off alone after school, almost as if I was searching for something.

One of my abilities allows me to not only see and feel energy, but channel huge amounts of it. I can go somewhere and see the lines of energy all around me, even looking at photos or video of a place I can see them as they were at the time of the recorded images. Not just Earth images either, but also in space; planets, stars, galaxies, all interconnected through these lines. Look at a map of the known universe and you can see a clear pattern of lines that the "structure" of the Universe, galaxies and such, seem to cling to and follow. On Earth, those lines are all over, moving and twisting, always changing.

Where they intersect, what I call Nodes, are very powerful, coursing with the energy of all the lines touching it. Some times these Nodes are stable enough to form doorways or windows to other places, times, planes, etc. Through these I have seen many things, some I wish I could show others, some I wish I had never seen, and everything in between. And all of them are difficult to describe or explain, but I see them none the less.

Sometime in the spring of 1984, I was 9 years old, I found a certain one of these Nodes I will never forget and which took me most of my life to understand what it was and what it meant. I'm still trying to understand some of it.

Standing there looking through it, I found myself facing what can only be described as being surrounded by the whole of the universe; stars, galaxies, nebula, planets, black holes, pulsars, comets, all of it gently turning and moving all around me, almost as if in a dance. The spectacular images recorded by Hubble and various space probes pale in comparison to the shimmering Universe I saw all around me. On top of that, I could hear it, all of it, like the Universe was singing to itself: the deep rhythmic hum of stars, the resonant voices of planets, the ghostly cry of ice, the thumping rhythm of pulsars, the soft scream of comets, the undulating roar of active black holes, all of it; each picking up the song and passing it along like whales in the ocean as they dance along the lines of energy they follow.

It was probably the most beautiful thing I have ever seen or heard in my life before or since, kind of like looking at the universe through the eyes of the Creator. I could look at the whole of it and listen to its song, or I could focus in on one string, one cluster, one galaxy, one section, one group of stars, one star, one world, even further to see one living creature, even inside them. It was surreal to say the least. The worlds I saw were nothing like Earth, yet also very much like it. The diversity of life is unimaginable, yet I could see it all if I wanted to. And not just the tangible Universe, but literally all of it.

I very nearly stepped through that doorway and didn't come back, but something held me there and I felt a voice say "Not yet, there is still time." Then I saw what seemed to be the Universe pull away as the doorway closed and I very nearly screamed as the connection was undone. I cried for a while, and for the longest time I could not even begin to describe what I saw or heard or felt that day.

For those who are interested, below is a sort of guided meditation which I wrote based on my own personal experience described above.

I encourage those who are interested to download the audio file and open it in Winamp or other MP3 media player. You can either list it once and select repeat, or list the file a specific number of times depending on how long you want to explore the meditation. The file is 10 minutes 45 seconds long, so listing it 6 times, which will give you approximately 1hour 4minutes 30seconds meditation time. As an exercise, I'd like to suggest the following walk through which is based on my experience I had when I first heard the song at age 9. However, I would encourage you to follow what best moves your spirit.

Find a private comfortable place and remove all light and sound distractions as much as possible. Sit or lay down and breathe deeply, finding your center and relax. Start the audio track at a low volume that you can still hear. Let the sound wash over you and let it call your spirit out.

In your mind's eye, visualize yourself floating in the void of space. As you look around, let yourself become aware of the Universe spread out all around you; stars, galaxies, nebula, planets, black holes, pulsars, comets, all of it gently turning and moving all around you like in a slow gentle dance, following long, entwined lines of energy like dewdrops on spiders webs. Let yourself become immersed in the flow of the "voices" as the Universe sings to itself: the deep rhythmic hum of stars, the resonant voices of planets, the ghostly cry of ice, the thumping rhythm of pulsars, the soft scream of comets, the undulating roar of active black holes; each picking up the song and passing it along like whales in the ocean as they dance along the lines of energy they follow.

As you listen, start focusing in on a galactic cluster that appeals to you, drawing yourself closer to it. Then chose a galaxy within that cluster, watching it gently turn and shimmer with the light of trillions of stars. Then chose an area of that galaxy, a star cluster or even a single star. Are there planets around it? If so, pick one and move closer. Listen to it sing with the star it travels with. Explore this star system you've found for a while, listening to their voices as they dance around each other.

When you are ready, pull yourself back from the star and look for another object that appeals to you, such as a colorful nebula. Let yourself move towards it and listen to the voices there. Maybe a new star is forming. Watch it pull itself together and begin spinning. Then as it ignites for the first time, let the sound of its new voice wash over you, joining its siblings voices all around you. Listen to them for a little while.

Pulling yourself back from the nebula, turn your focus towards another voice; the rhythmic thrum of a giant red star. Watch as it swells, it's voice growing deeper and more intense until it finally collapses in on itself, then explodes outward in a supernova. Move closer to it and look around, following the patterns of glowing gas and dust thrown out from the explosion and listen to the pulsar left behind as it spins, it's steady heartbeat echoing all around you.

Continue exploring as long as you like, listening to other voices and exploring what you find. Then, when you are ready, follow your soul link and turn towards a pair of large spiral galaxies surrounded by other smaller galaxies. Move towards the outer arm of the larger of the two spiral galaxies. Follow the pull towards a single yellow star surrounded by four large gaseous planets, two of them bluish in color and one with an impressive ring system. Move closer in towards the four rocky inner planets, and look towards the blue-green one with white swirls and its single companion moon. Look closer at this little world, with its myriad of blues, greens, and browns. Take a closer look at the shapes of the lands and seas, the creatures living there. Then follow the strongest pull to one continent, to a place on that continent, perhaps a city. Find a building there and go into it, moving towards yourself and settling back into your body again.

When you are ready, open your eyes and let your body reawaken to itself gradually. When you feel ready, pick up a pencil and paper and draw or write about your experience: what you saw, what you felt, what you heard... Don't try to make sense of it for others. Don't worry about trying to explain it. Just let what comes to you find its way to the page. When you are done, please feel free to share and post what you have experienced. Tell whether you used my guided path or your own and describe as much as you can.

I look forward to hearing about your experiences.

This all sounds very interesting.. I wish I had a place where I could try out this meditation, but the only possible place I could go is into my walk in closet (which is extremely cluttered at the moment, not very comfortable to sit in). I'd have to possibly do this while home alone as well... As for the reason why I'd only really disclose in a note..

But I really want to experience this, I want to be able to see all those beautiful things.. *sigh*

Perhaps would could continue this via notes, if that is alright..~?
