Three Chokers

Description:

1.  This is my original choker that I've had since I was around 6 years old.  Surprisingly, I can still wear this thing, though it is a touch small but not too bad.  XD  I was pretty young when my mother made it and she made it a bit big so I could wear it for a while.  I've always been a pretty lean kid.  *chuckles**  I generally don't wear it anymore though, blue is not a color I typically wear, though I do have a couple shirts that have blue on them.  I'm just a bit protective of this choker, along with a dress that a friend of the family made for me when I was 6 or 7 to wear at Rendezvous (yes, I still have that too).  XD

2.  This choker was made and worn by a dear friend of mine known locally as Prince Ka.  Sadly in 2005, he died from stomach cancer.  The bizarre thing is that shortly after he died, his housemate and a couple friends were starting to clean out his room and a fire started in the room, gutting his bedroom but didn't touch the rest of the house.  This choker was in that room and somehow survived the fire.  Shortly after that the choker was given to me by Herbie (the housemate and owner of said house).  Apparently I was supposed to have it and that fact was made abundantly clear to both Herbie and myself.  I cherish it and keep it safe.  I was wearing it off and on for the past 10 years, but I'm really protective of it; I'm sure you can understand why.

3.  This choker is the one my soon-to-be-14-year-old son (he turned 14 on July 10th, 2015) asked me to make for him and he wears it all the time.  He loves it!  XD  Making this for him triggered my muse to steal my brain and get me making other chokers with some of the beads and materials I had on hand.  I was originally only planning to make a set of four, but clearly my muse had other ideas.  **chuckles**
