Ice Cream Cake Party Cups

These are really fun to make and are great for parties, whether it's a kid's birthday or a grown up get-together. All you do is take your favourite cake mix and mix it up in a bowl like normal. Then, set up a cupcake tin with ice cream cones standing upright in them (make sure you get the flat bottom kind so they'll stand up on their own, not the pointy ones) like you see in the first photo with a 24 mini cupcake tin. Fill each cone 1/3 to 1/2 with your cake batter and put in your preheated oven for 18-20 minutes (toothpick should come out clean) at 350^oF. Pull them out carefully (top-heavy cones will tip over) and let cool to room temperature so you can pick them up without scorching your fingers. Add a scoop of your favourite ice cream, top with your favourite flavour of Magic Shell syrup and enjoy!

My mother made these for my first birthday and they were a huge hit with all the kids! But be careful, for younger children, put a little less cake batter in the cup (bake for 15-18 minutes) to give the ice cream a deeper seat so the kids don't lick it right off the cone. XD
